The Australian Government is now in caretaker period. During this time, updates on this website will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions, until after the election.
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) 2024 grant opportunity is focused on implementation research to address management of multiple long-term conditions in the context of non-communicable diseases.
Together with other GACD member agencies, NHMRC is inviting investigators to submit applications for implementation research that aims to improve the availability of effective, equitable, efficient, integrated, patient-centred, safe, and timely care for people living with multiple long-term conditions including non-communicable disease in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and/or in disadvantaged populations in high-income countries (HICs).
For NHMRC funding support in HICs, research must focus on Indigenous population groups. In Australia, research must focus on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
