As part of performing its functions, NHMRC may record video and audio of meetings it holds and obtain auto-generated transcripts of the meeting.

The personal information collected may include name, email address, phone number, digital images, video and audio recordings of you, text (in chats), information about you, including your participating in the meeting and your opinion on the matters discussed during the meeting.

The primary purposes for collection include:

  • Recordings and transcripts used to assist staff in making minutes and outcomes of meetings. In these cases, the recording and transcript will be automatically deleted after 60 days and/or
  • Recordings and transcripts used for learning and development, public consultations or providing information for the research sector. In these circumstances, the recording and transcript will be retained and disclosed for those purposes and participants should be informed of this before it is recorded.

Your information may also be used for other purposes. In the event that the personal information will be collected for a secondary purpose, the meeting chair should discuss this at the beginning of the meeting before recording.

By providing this information you are acknowledging that your information will be used and, depending on the purpose of recording the meeting, stored and disclosed by NHMRC.

If you do not agree to being recorded, please advise the meeting host and turn off your video and/or microphone or leave the meeting.
