RAO Alert - RAO Seminar in Canberra 2-4 December 2024

Save the date – Research Administrators’ seminar in Canberra, 

2-4 December 2024 

The National Health Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Australian Research Council (ARC) and the Department of Health and Aged Care’s Health Medical Research Office (MRFF) in association with Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS), will hold a Seminar on 

2-4 December 2024 in Canberra. 

The Research Administrators’ Seminar is an opportunity for research administrators to hear about the latest news and developments from the NHMRC, ARC and MRFF and to network with staff from the host agencies. 

With support from ARMS, the event is also an important opportunity for research administrators to network with each other.

Please share this with your research office staff to seek interest in attending this event.

A pre-registration survey will be sent soon to gather expressions of interest in attending. After that once registration closes, the organisers will confirm with administering organisations who on the pre-registered list have support to attend in-person. 

The Seminar details:

Day 1 – 2 December 2024 – NHMRC Day

Day 2 – 3 December 2024 – ARC Day

Day 3 – 4 December 2024 – MRFF Day

Please note, there will be a cap on in-person attendance. The NHMRC, ARC and MRFF will consider the need of equitable numbers of university and Medical Research Institutes across eligible grantee organisations in confirming pre-registered in-person attendees for each day.

For those who are unable to travel or unable to attend in person due to attendee limits, we will offer virtual attendance.
