Public consultation open – Proposed updates to the Synergy Grant scheme (2027)

NHMRC has opened a public consultation seeking sector feedback on proposed changes for the Synergy Grant scheme, from the 2027 funding round.

The key proposed changes are to:

  • replace individual track record assessment with a team-based capability statement and list of each CI’s ‘Top 10 outputs’
  • add a ‘Potential for Impact’ assessment criterion
  • move to a single-stage peer review process.
