RAO Alert – Investigator Grants 2027 – minimum data due soon

RAOs are reminded that minimum data for the Investigator Grants 2027 funding round is due on Wednesday 1 July 2026 17:00 (AEST).

The 2027 Investigator Grants minimum data fields are outlined below:

• Application title (not denoted by a blue flag)
• Administering Institution
• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health research focus (yes/no)
• Project synopsis
• Privacy agreement (both tick boxes ticked)
• Research Classification:
        – Broad Research Area
        – Field(s) of Research
        – 3 Peer Review Areas
        – 5 Research Keywords
• Chief Investigator A (complete CIA role and name)
• Category and Level.

Failure to meet these minimum data requirements by the deadline will result in the application being ineligible and not proceeding. The minimum data deadline will not be extended.

Using placeholder text such as ‘text’, ‘synopsis’, ‘xx’ or ‘Investigator Grants’ etc. is not acceptable as minimum data.

RAOs are not required to certify applications for the purpose of minimum data. Applications only require certification once complete and ready for submission to NHMRC.
