How to add a user on to Sapphire applications
It has come to our attention that in some very limited cases Sapphire users are experiencing difficulty adding users to their grant application.
Advice
CIAs are advised to follow the process below to grant users edit access to an application:
Adding a user who is not going to be listed as a CIB to CIJ+:
- Navigate to the top right-hand corner of the application form
- Select ‘Invite to register & Manage Access’
- Select 'Add another user' option
- Enter in the relevant email address and select the ‘share with edit access’ option
- Select ‘save and send.’
Adding a user who is going to be listed as a CIB to CIJ+:
- Navigate to the ‘Research Team’ page on the application
- Navigate to the ‘Chief Investigators’ section
- Select the 'Add Another' option
- Assign a role (CIB+) and enter in the relevant email address
- Save the form or wait for an autosave (every 30 seconds)
- Select ‘Invite to register & Manage Access’ and then modify the relevant user’s access to edit.
Sapphire users with edit access to an application who wish to add themselves as a CI on an application should notify their CIA to restore their edit access as their access will automatically revert to view-only access once they have added themselves.
