Forecast Opportunity - 2026 and 2027 NHMRC-Horizon Europe grant opportunity
The NHMRC-Horizon Europe grant scheme supports Australian participation in international collaborative research under Horizon Europe, the European Commission’s (EC) key funding program for research and innovation.
NHMRC is considering supporting a limited number of Horizon Europe topics. For details on supported topics and eligibility requirements, refer to the Horizon Europe topics and eligibility attachments published with the 2026 and 2027 NHMRC-Horizon Europe forecast opportunities on GrantConnect.
Projects involving Australia-based researchers that are chosen by the EC for funding in 2027 and 2028 may be eligible for NHMRC support.
NHMRC advises potential applicants that there will be specific requirements for Australia-based researchers and their NHMRC-approved Administering Institutions to be named as an Associated Partner in the EC application.
