The 6th Annual NHMRC Symposium on Research Translation, co-hosted by the National Health and Medical Research Council and the Lowitja Institute, was held on 14-15 November, 2017.

Under the theme "The Butterfly Effect: Translating Knowledge into Action for Positive Change", the Symposium presented an outstanding opportunity to focus on action needed to improve the health and wellbeing of Australia’s First Peoples through effective translation of health, wellbeing and medical research into policy and practice.

We thank the 370 delegates and over 100 speakers who attended this year and ensured that the program was relevant, engaging and topical.
