Institutions must meet set criteria in order to administer funding provided by the NHMRC. This document outlines the requirements needed in order to supervise the researchers and their projects which are receiving the Commonwealth Government funding, along with ensuring the value and integrity of the research.
The NHMRC Administering Institution Policy contains information about the categories of institutions which will be considered for approval as an NHMRC Administering Institution as well as the criteria these institutions must meet to obtain and maintain their Administering Institution status. Administering Institutions must demonstrate that they meet all relevant criteria, including those outlined in Appendix C regarding the progression and retention of women in health and medical research.
Please note that a further review of the NHMRC Administering Institution Policy is currently being conducted and for the time being applications for NHMRC Administering Institution status will not be considered.
