Human research ethics

There are many ethically significant and complex issues relating to human health and research. AHEC has considered, or is considering, a number of these issues. Information on some of these issues with links to documents produced by AHEC or the NHMRC more broadly, is provided below.

Australian Health Ethics Committee (AHEC)

National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007)

The National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007) (National Statement) consists of a series of primary guidelines for researchers, Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs), and organisations, which are made in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.

Harmonisation of Multi-centre Ethical Review (HoMER)
